Salim Ali is a talented designer who has worked as a model before establishing himself as fashion designer and created the label, Mtoko designs. He has also worked as a stylist for different Tanzanian personalities including Banana Zorro and his band and EATV Nirvana presenters. His passion is to share his talent with other Tanzanian youths and create a stage to develop their talents in this growing industry. He has showcased his designs in different fashion shows like Lady in Red and the famous Swahili Fashion Week. He has in his belt a nomination of the Best Menswear Designer of the year 2011 by the Swahili Fashion Week as well as an award for the best upcoming designer of the year in the Lady in Red fashion show.
