Barack Chills With Jay-Z & Beyonce At 40/40 Club!

 Barack Obama stopped by the 40/40 club last night to attend a fundraiser hosted by Jay-Z and Beyonce. The 44th President is in New York to raise a few milli for his campaign as well as attend the opening of this year's session of the United Nations.

Politico reports:

President Obama took time out from a fundraiser Tuesday to praise his hosts, Beyonce and Jay-Z, at the 40/40 club in New York City.

"Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls," he said, according to a pool report. He added that he and Jay-Z have a lot in common.

"We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard but it's okay."

It was a more subdued speech than what some may have expected at such a glitzy affair, according to the pool report. Obama hit many of the same themes from his standard stump speech, saying he wanted to make sure that, "here in America, you can make it if you work hard."

But he also added some new points, including about riding a fine line between confidence in his prospects and instilling urgency in such a close election.

"I don't want people to be complacent, but I don't want people to be discouraged," he said.
